Announcing 16 finalists of TNW Best of the Accelerators Startup Battle

The hottest startups present on stage during TNW Latin America Conference

The Next Web Latin America Conference is coming up in less than three weeks. Apart from an international speaker lineup, one of the highlights of this two day event is TNW Best of the Accelerator Startup Battle, where 20 Startups will present and announce new things in front of a worldwide audience, press and investors. Out of 114 submissions, 16 finalists were selected. The remaining 4 finalist positions will be chosen at the TNW Latin America Conference
The Next Web is a worldwide leading source on startups, technology and business. Its conferences provide a platform for promising startups to attract new customers, new partners and PR. 

This August 22nd and 23d, at The Next Web Latin America Conference in São Paulo, in total 20 Startups from all over Latin America will present their products and services for free in front of an international tech audience, investors, and press. The Jury of experts will give feedback and decide on the winners.

The first 16 finalists have survived three selection rounds: the first application form round, the second video round and an interview. The 4 remaining finalist are selected at the conference itself, chosen from the startups that are in the exhibitor area.

Pitch: Find the closest taxi and track it down on a map in real-time while it comes to pick you up.

From Argentina:

Kinetik - from NXTPLabs and Wayra
Pitch: Kinetik is a social App Store, that lets you know what apps your friends, peers, and the press love in a beautiful and social way.

Workana - from NXTPLabs
Pitch: Workana is an online freelance work platform focussing on the Latam market

Jampp - from NXTPLabs
Pitch: The leading Latin American advertising solution for the monetization of virtual currency on social networks and mobile apps.

t-Art from NXTPLabs
Pitch: t-Art is a crowdsourcing online platform where graphic designers and artists create and sell t-shirts collections.

MercadoTransporte from NXTPLabs
Pitch: An online marketplace for transporting goods

Pitch: A fun, innovative and easy-to-use service for teaching kids the real value of money

TomoClases - from Start-up Chile
Pitch: An online marketplace for offline classes and courses in your local neighborhood in Latin América.

Pitch: Matching companies to public contracts from the government - from Wayra
Pitch: Free and easy-to-make custom webpages for bands
From Peru:

Papaya - from Start-up Chile and Wayra
Pitch: We offer a solution to movie theatres for online and mobile ticket sales, revenue management system and an advertising platform for movie studios and distributors

From Uruguay: 

KidBox - from Start-up Chile
Pitch: KidBox is a parental control app that let parents fully managed their children online activity.

From the US: - on a Wildcard
Pitch: P2P Education. Online video eductaion platform where instructors can create videos and students can have access to low cost classes.

From Costa Rica/US:
Pota-toss - from Dream It Ventures
Pitch: Funded as a kickstarter project, Pota-Toss is the first mobile game with location based scenery

From The Netherlands:

SkinVision - on a Wildcard
Pitch: Verify and track healthy and suspicious moles and offering mobile tools to adopt healthy skin behaviors.
