TNW Magazine hits more than 100.000 sessions in one month

Reaching important milestone in just ten months; four months ahead of schedule

Summary
TNW Magazine published the 10th issue of its all digital magazine containing 100% unique content on Friday October 26th. So far the digital magazine has been downloaded by more than 43.000 users and saw more than 116.000 sessions in October alone. When the magazine was launched, in February 2012, the goal was to reach 100.000 sessions and at least 50.000 readers within a year. We are very happy to announce we've reached part of this goal ahead of schedule.

"We were hoping that tablet magazine publishing would take off and set ourselves some pretty ambitious goals when we started. It is amazing to see that tablet usage has grown even faster than we expected and that today we are able to announce these important milestones. It makes us very optimistic about the future of digital magazines” says Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten, co-founder of The Next Web and initiator of TNW Magazine. “We foresee huge opportunities for publications that got in early and are using creativity and innovation to deliver magazines that go beyond just converting paper content to digital. People seem to love digital magazines that incorporate music, movies and general interactivity and really make use of all the possibilities that tablets offer.“

TNW Magazine stands out from other digital magazines because it collaborates with sites like Kuvva, a service providing stunning wallpaper art, and 22Tracks who provide the tasteful tunes while reading an issue. This ensures a diverse collection of media combined with the unique and high quality content readers are accustomed to from reading our internationally acclaimed blog at TheNextWeb.com.

At this moment TNW magazine is being featured in the ‘What’s Hot’ and ’New and Noteworthy’ sections in the Apple iTunes Store and on several iTunes Home Pages across the globe showing that beautiful design and a focus on innovation pays off and is appreciated by both readers and Apple Store curators.

TNW Magazine is produced by a very small team and with very limited resources, using the Mag+ digital magazines publishing tool. This shows that with passion, creativity and a focus on innovation it is possible to reach a worldwide audience and provide an amazing new product.

The new goal for TNW Magazine is to reach more readers and several hundred thousand sessions a month. TNW Magazine can be downloaded for free to iPads, the Android Nexus tablet and iPhones.
